Building Nursery School in Uganda
Ilt has been about 6 years since Brother Claude Leroux got involved in the KOP (Kisubi Orphans Project) that was run by Mrs. Margret Kalema (a nurse, social worker and counselor), Mr. Fred Lukyamuzi (counselor and social worker), and Dr. Margaret Lubega from Kyabnogo University.
Margret Kalema and Fred Lukyamuzi are part of a trained group that is to attend to orphans, some of whom are HIV positive, and their care-takers in the rather large Kisubi area that reaches out to 30 km away from Kisubi.
While at the nursery, orphans would sometimes be given some training in sewing, knitting, simple tool-handling, cooking and gardening so they don't feel idle or useless wile on the road to recovery.
KOP is registered with the Uganda Ministry of Health and TASO. KOP presently cares for over 50 HIV positive orphans. We choose to attend to them at their own places of residence until the Nursery is built. Our prionity is to ensure that those children get a family upbringing, and not an "orphanage" environment. KOP is providing food supplements that are needed for them, organizing HIV/AIDS sensitization seminars, referring HIV positive children to government hospitals where they can get treatment like ARVs, providing a small income, generating activities among their homes, and participating in decent burials when we lose any of our children.
Parents For A Strong Generation
Stop "helping" Africa - Start Building Africa
"The present is a bridge between the past and the future. A bridge should be built as a solid foundation to bring the next generation to a high level society, where there is no place for discrimination, crime and war against humanity"
Aida Airapetov,
Founder of "Parents for a Strong Generation"
Parents for a Strong Generation is asking you to participate in both projects and make kids happy. As well as the items that will be donated from the two pictures below, we will also donate $5000 for each project to build the Nursery and Dormitory at St.Donozio.
Girls Dormitory for St. Donozio
"An intelligent person without ambition is like a bird without wings"

St. Donozio Ssebuggwawo Mixed Day and Boarding Primary school include 750 pupils all together with 325 boarders. Brother Mwebaze Bernard is the headmaster of St. Donozio. Because of his passion and love for kids the Girl's Dormitory started construction.
Brother Bernard asked for help from the local community and they graciously contributed $ 4072. Even with this generous contribution construction can't be complete without more help.
